Kefalonia este cea mai mare ca suprafata dintre insulele Ionice situate in vestul Greciei, avand o suprafata de 688 kmp. Numele insulei provine de la figura mitologica Cephalus, desi unele persoane il asociaza cu “insula cu cap” deoarece Cephallus este derivat din cuvantul grec “cap”.
Kefalonia este o destinatie potrivita unui concediu relaxant si memorabil si reconfortant, dar si cu multe posibilitati de practicare a sporturilor, in mod special a celor nautice. Zona turistica a Kefaloniei, capitala Argostoli are multiple restaurante, baruri si discoteci fiind si cea mai activa.
